Company Profile
Inflammatix, Inc.
Company Overview
Inflammatix will bring to market a gold standard diagnostic for sepsis based on our unique immune biomarkers, enabling precision medicine for acute infectious disease. Inflammatix has a breakthrough solution: we ‘read’ the immune system using our unique biomarkers based on the body’s gene expression in the blood. These biomarkers can determine presence, type (bacterial/viral) and severity of infection. They have been extensively validated and published in top-tier medical journals. Our product will be a sample-to-answer random-access PCR-based point of care device.
Company History
Inflammatix was founded on the idea that reading the immune system is a powerful way to identify disease. This approach can be applied broadly given the immune system's role in screening for, diagnosing and treating most diseases. Initially, Inflammatix will focus on infectious disease and sepsis, areas with significant unmet clinical needs and high costs to the healthcare system.
The company was founded in 2016 based on novel research performed at Stanford University that has resulted in numerous publications in top-tier medical journals. In 2017, the company gained exclusive rights to technology related to infectious disease and sepsis and secured venture financing (lead by Khosla Ventures) to accelerate product development endeavors.
